Anti-Black Friday Activities in Bad Axe, MI

While Black Friday may be the biggest shopping day of the year, not everyone likes to go out and get trampled just to get a couple cheap deals. OK, so in Bad Axe you're pretty unlikely to get trampled, and it's fairly unlikely you'll find yourself in a battle over that last smartphone or BluRay player for $20, but if you want to avoid the crowds and still do something on that extra day off from work, here are some things to entertain you.

Go See A Movie

One great family friendly thing you can do instead of shopping on Black Friday is to go see the latest movies in the local theater. Bad Axe Theatre is a two screen cinema, so you'll be able to chose between two movies, and they almost always have something family friendly airing. This little theater is conveniently located on one of the city's main streets, and offers on- and off-road parking.

Have Some Fun At The Park

The Bad Axe City Park is a great place for some outdoor fun. They have swings, slides, and other fun stuff, plus a tennis court. If you and your family take the time to bundle up before you head out you can still have some fun at the park late November. Take some time to swing with your kids and feel young again. It's better than standing in line for two hours at Walmart.

Bowl Or Shoot Some Pool

Take a trip to Longshot Lanes if it's too wet at the park, and play a different kind of way. Even if they don't have open bowling when you get there you can still shoot some pool or even play some old-school arcade games. You'll stay warm and cozy indoors, have some fun, and avoid the bustle of the stores. You can even stick around and have some lunch while you're there.
