Top New Restaurants to Try in 2016 in Fresno

Are you in a food rut, going to the same restaurants week in and week out? It is time to stretch your taste buds in the New Year. You may want to try these local establishments to add to your restaurant rotation. These restaurants offer a variety of choices from Italian to burgers to Japanese.

The Annex Kitchen
If you are looking for a trendy new restaurant with food that is delicious, then look no further than The Annex Kitchen. Pardini's was a well-known restaurant and banquet hall. This newly renovated family restaurant has a great ambiance coupled with delicious Italian food. You will find a variety of salads, wood-fired pizzas, handcrafted pasta, and a variety of dishes cooked over the wood burning heath. Reservations are encouraged to avoid a long wait.

House of JuJu
House of JuJu is a small joint in Old Town Clovis that comes with a big punch. Dishes consist of gourmet style burgers with several meat choices, including bison, turkey, ground chuck, chicken breast and Portobello mushrooms, salads, wraps, and flat breads. Most dishes come with JuJu Roasted Potatoes as an option with one of their special dipping sauces. Along with an array of dishes, they have a variety of local beers and wines.

Rev's California Cuisine
Rev's is the newest specialty restaurant to make its way into Old Town Clovis. They serve modern American cuisine while focusing on using local, fresh ingredients. Once a month there is a family style dinner which brings everyone around the table for a good time. Dishes include soup, salad, seafood, steak, and various starters. The Lobster Mac and Cheese is one dish you don't want to miss.

A new Japanese restaurant offering casual, full service dining has made its way to Fresno. They offer teppanyaki as well as traditional Japanese dishes and sushi. They serve a variety of Japanese craft beers and handcrafted cocktails. Most Japanese full service restaurants close between lunch and dinner. KuniSama does not close allowing you to take that late lunch and still get teppanyaki.

Restaurants to be on the lookout for in 2016...
A city favorite, the Cosmopolitan Tavern will be reopening soon at Ventura and O Street. Cosmopolitan has a wide variety of dishes, including pasta, burgers, sandwiches, steak and salad.

Casa de Tamales, who is known for its food truck, will be opening on Fulton St, south of Tulare in early 2016. They have a variety of tamales, tacos, and tortas. You can visit them at one of many outdoor venues or at their current location in the Tower District.
