Take Advantage of the Free Ferry
Getting to Amsterdam Noord couldn't be any easier. Amsterdam has 14 free ferry lines, three of which leave directly from Centraal station. The lines go directly to some of the top sights in Amsterdam Noord, including the EYE museum and the NDSM Wharf. Some make more regular trips than others, so it's always a good idea to check the schedule before you head out. Also keep in mind that most of the ferries don't run 24/7, so plan your trip accordingly.

Explore the NDSM Wharf

There's something different to do nearly every day on the wharf, from art installations and live music, to film festivals and cultural events and that doesn't even include the numerous amazing restaurants and bars that call the NDSM Wharf home. Visit the EYE
Just a 3-minute ferry ride from Centraal Station, the EYE Film Institute is a must-see for both amateur and experienced film buffs alike. At the EYE you will learn about the history of film in the Netherlands and have the opportunity to attending screenings of both Dutch and international films of the past and present. If you plan to attend a film screening, keep in mind that they require a separate ticket. The EYE also has a beautiful bar and terrace with breathtaking views of the city, when you're ready to take a break from the screens.
