Five Spots to Watch NCAA March Madness in Reno-Tahoe


The casinos of Reno and Lake Tahoe are some of the best places to watch the NCAA March Madness championship games. Most race and sports book areas in the casinos will be showing the games, but there are a few who are going above and beyond with special events, prizes, food and drink specials, and of course, all the action on huge screens.

March Mania at the Silver Legacy

The Silver Legacy Resort Casino in Downtown Reno will be presenting "March Mania", March 17-20. The Race and Sportsbook will be showing all the games on 6 foot by 8 foot screens and 65 inch monitors. the VIP Sportsbook will have 70 inch screens to see the games. Fans can sit in bleacher style seating and enjoy food and drink specials. The games will also be shown at the Aura Ultra Lounge on their nine monitors and even the Silver Baron Lounge near the towing mining rig will be showing the games.

Hoops Hysteria at the Peppermill

The Peppermill Resort Hotel will be showing the games during "Hoops Hysteria", March 17-19. Held in the Tuscany Ballroom, the special event is $20 per day or $50 for all three days. Tickets include three complimentary drinks, lunch, raffle prizes and all the games projected onto huge screens. Bets can be placed at various betting stations and the Sports Deli will be offering gametime munchies.

Eldorado's March Mania

On March 17-19, The Eldorado Resort Casino will be having March Madness specials throughout the entire casino. For $50 per day or $130 for all three days fans can purchase casino floor drink wristbands, which include unlimited beverages, a $10 food voucher and souvenir hat; or $40 per day drinks-only wristbands with specials at food stations on the casino floor. Every TV in the casino will be showing the games including the Race and Sports Book where a combined 35 plasma televisions ranging from 42 inches to 70 inches will be on for hoop fans.

March Madness at Hard Rock, Lake Tahoe

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's Race & Sports Book in Lake Tahoe has been voted the number one in Lake Tahoe by Casino Player Magazine. The casino will be featuring various viewing parties and and food and drink specials during March Madness. The Race and Sports book features 40 televisions for game watching as well as a high-definition video wall. Mobile sports betting is available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices via the William Hill sports betting company.

Crystal Bay Casino March Madness

This local's casino on the North Shore will be showing all the games on the Sport's Bar HD plasma screens. Drink specials will be available and Crystal Bay's casino has the largest betting option on the North Shore.
