MLB Opening Day Traditions for the Philadelphia Phillies

The Philadelphia Phillies have had a rocky couple of years after winning the 2008 World Series, but hey, we still love our hometown team. Opening Day is coming up quick, so here are some way to get into the spirit of the (baseball) season here in Philly:

Enjoy a slew of great deals
It seems like the whole city gets in on celebrating Opening Day. Sports bar standards like Field House and Misconduct Tavern have food and drink specials all day.

XFINITY Live! Philly Baseball Opening Day Party
Starting at 11:00 a.m. on Opening Day, April 11, head over to XFINITY LIVE!, the entertainment complex just across from the Phillies' Citizens Bank Park, for hours of live music, games and specials celebrating the beginning of the season. Free parking is available after 4:05 p.m.

Citizens Bank Way Opening Day Party
Located right next to the stadium, this official, free event starts at noon, with plenty of food, drinks, live music and other entertainment, all helping to usher in a new season of America's pastime!

Leadoff Walk on 10th Street
Join a crowd of other Phillies diehards and cheer on the team along 10th Street as they enter the ballpark around 2:10 p.m.

Get your commemorative cap
Guests at the Opening Day game against the San Diego Padres at Citizens Bank Park will get a limited-edition Phillies cap with "2016 Opening Day" embroidered on the side. What better way is there to demonstrate that you're a true fan?
