Top 5 Things You Need To Eat In Huntsville, Alabama

I have a bit of food advice for you today. I'm presenting you the best foods that you can get here in Huntsville, Alabama. I'm including appetizers, entrees, desserts, and anything else.

1. Chorizo Queso - Casa Blanca
One of my favorite local Mexican restaurants has an amazing appetizer that you need to try. It is a white queso dip mixed with Mexican chorizo. You can't go wrong with cheese and sausage; it is absolutely delicious.

2. Pepperoni Calzone - Pane e Vino Pizzeria
This is a beautiful little restaurant situated underneath the local art museum. It is a great place to sit outside in the park and enjoy. They have delicious pizza, calzones, pasta, and other Italian food. The calzone comes perfectly cooked with just the right amount of pepperoni and cheese. It is a great meal to share (or not).

3. Diablito - The Happy Tummy
I have written about Lowe Mill before, but this is a particularly good treat. This sandwich from the Happy Tummy is great if you love spicy things. It's not terribly spicy, but it has a nice kick. It comes on jalapeno cheddar "Fred Bread" which is made upstairs. It has turkey, jalapeno cream cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion.

4. Black bean chili - Anaheim Chili
There is a great chili place here in town, Anaheim Chili. My favorite is the black bean chili: it has chorizo, black beans, ground beef, garlic, cumin, and black pepper. It is garnished with sour cream, fresh cilantro, and lime. Their cornbread is also amazing.

5. Drinking chocolate
There is an amazing candy place in Lowe Mill. Pizzelle's Confections has some amazing chocolate candy. They also have coffee and other hot drinks. Their drinking chocolate is absolutely amazing; they garnish it with homemade marshmallows.
