Where to Watch College Football in Sugar Land or Missouri City

You could watch your alma mater in the comfort of your living room, but let's face it, half the fun is being surrounded by people who love (or if you are confrontational--hate) your team. Fortunately, there are plenty of options in the Sugar Land/Missouri City area to catch your favorite team in action.

The Rouxpour
The Rouxpour is a step above your average sports bar. With a top-notch menu of seafood and Cajun favorites, it is a great place to enjoy bar food with class. The best seats to watch the game are in the bar area, skip the tables and booths. Expect to spend a little more, but it is worth it. There is plenty of parking at Town Center where The Rouxpour is located, although not necessarily close to the restaurant.

Gridiron Bar and Grill
Nestled in this nondescript strip center is a gem of a sports bar. The laid back staff and patrons make watching sports fun. Drink specials are kind to your pocketbook and the multiple screens mean pretty much any game you care to see is showing somewhere in the bar. There is plenty of parking in the evenings.

Center Court Pizza and Brew
You don't typically think of a sports bar as family-friendly, but Center Court Pizza and Brew is different. You can watch your favorite team inside (in the cool air conditioning) or from the large patio outside. If you have to bring the kiddos, opt for outside. There is an expansive playground, complete with picnic tables. It is fenced in with an easy view of both the playground and multiple screens. The pizza is outstanding and there are wide variety of beers on tap. It seems wrong to go to a bar and order salad, but the Buffalo Salad is really (really) good. Parking is readily available.

Bogies Pub & Grill
When you close your eyes and imagine what a sports bar should look and feel like, there is a pretty good chance you'll come up with something very much like what you'll find at Bogies Pub & Grill. Screens cover the walls, there is ample room to move about and plenty of tables and room at the bar. If you'd like to sit outside, there is a great patio with four more screens tuned to four different games or sports channels. There are drink specials and great bar food (the tacos and the loaded fries are personal favorites of mine). During crawfish season you can also load up on mud bugs. Friendly staff and patrons are the norm and because of its location, there is always plenty of parking.

Don't watch the big game alone. These are great options for every budget. Put on your favorite college gear and head on out to cheer your team on.
