The Best Bars in San Francisco to Bring a Client

San Francisco's Financial District, Downtown and SOMA are the business hubs of the city, and not surprisingly have excellent bars that are geared toward professionals. Here are five bars that are ideal for grabbing a drink with a client.

The Hidden Vine

This upscale venue that serves small bites and quality wines is a perfect place to bring a client. Settle into the cozy interior with a glass of red or white. There's also an outdoor bocce court for those who don't mind a bit of friendly competition and some fresh air.

This literary-themed lounge has the perfect laid-back, yet classy atmosphere for chatting with a client. The place is set up so you feel as if you have entered into someone's study with books lining the walls, comfortable armchairs and dim lighting. The drinks are carefully crafted and are all named after literary characters. There are also bar bites available as well.

Barbarossa Lounge

Housed in a former jailhouse, this space has been transformed into a beautiful lounge with plush chairs and exposed brick. The cocktails are fresh and inventive and there is an extensive champagne menu for celebrating special occasions. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4-7 p.m.

This elegant bar is worth stopping in to discuss business over a delicious cocktail or their excellent whisky selection. Best of all they serve complimentary truffle popcorn. Happy hour is Tuesday to Friday, check here for more information.

Local Edition

An underground establishment that oozes class and has a unique interior décor that includes old newspapers and typewriters. Make sure to try one of the handcrafted cocktails, like the popular Local Edition (an old fashioned).
