The Crowbar is a piece of the big city located in Ybor City. Curtis Hixon Park

Curtis Hixon Park is the outdoor venue for downtown where all types of music and events take place. However, it is the Rock the Park series which really allows for Tampa's local bands and acts like Dynasty to take center stage. While it is across the bridge in St. Petersburg, you cannot make a list of cool venues to watch local bands at and not include Janus Landing. Skipper's Smokehouse is a staple to Tampa's music scene. This outdoor venue is eclectic with a feel of being in the back woods. Nothing pretentious about the venue or attendees. It is the perfect casual place to see groups like The Bloody Jug Band or other independent artists. You can always expect the unexpected with the groups that perform there.
