5 Places to See Holiday Decorations in Dallas


This time of year everyone loves to showcase their holiday spirit through decorations and various holiday celebrations. There are a lot of holiday lights and decorations for many to sight see in the Dallas and Ft. Worth area. If you're wondering exactly where can you go to get your holiday lights and decorations fix, don't worry, we've got you covered.

Here are a few places in Dallas and Ft. Worth to see some holiday decorations, to kick off the holiday extravaganza.

1. Christmas Light Show Spectacular

Grapevine has been deemed the "Christmas Capital of Texas" for a while now. The Christmas Light Show Spectacular is a nightly light show that will run through January 8 from 6 p.m. till 11 p.m. The light show is approximately 20 minutes long and is free for everyone.

2. Downtown Wanderland

Downtown Dallas will officially turn itself into a winter wonderland Thursday through Saturday on December 1 through December 17 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Downtown Wanderland will feature Santa Claus photo ops, live music, holiday movie screenings, pop-up shops and even a gift-wrapping station.

The event is free for everyone.

3. Holiday in the Park

Each year, Six Flags Over Texas transforms the amusement park into a winter wonderland. From now until January 1, the park will be decked out in Holiday decor. There will be photos with Santa, a sleigh ride on the SantaLand, food and much more.

Prices for Holiday in the Park range from $52-$72.

4. Gift of Lights

Gift of Lights at the Texas Motor Speedway will be held 7 days a week from 6 p.m. till 10 p.m. until December 30. Guests can take a trip to Santa's Village, which features over 10k square feet of holiday adventures for children. Texas Motor Speedway cars will also be on display for an up-close and personal look for visitors.

Prices range from $25- $55. Guests can get a $5 discount if they bring an unwrapped toy donation for Toys for Tots.

5. Christmas in Frisco Square

Christmas in Frisco Square will run through January 1. The event will showcase holiday lights, music, snow machines, horse carriages, an ice skating rink and much more for the entire family to enjoy.
