Wildest New Year's Celebrations in Your Cincinnati

Cincinnati has seen a lot of New Years--- about 229 going back to the days when it was a town called Losantiville. Today, you can find plenty of places to welcome Baby New Year and give 2016 a hearty handshake and best wishes. Here are just a few.

New Year's Eve Night at the Museum 2
The famous Contemporary Arts Center hosts this event. It features three different DJs on three different floors, so you can easily find your groove when the clock strikes twelve. This a formal gathering, so dress to the nines to bring in 2017.

Mt. Adams Pavilion "New Year's Eve Ball 2017"
A little fancier than a normal evening on Mt. Adams, cocktail attire is requested for this bash in one of the city's oldest and most scenic neighborhoods. Hit the dance floor with two DJs on two separate floors and enjoy party favors, a champagne toast, and a complimentary hors d'oeuvres buffet which are all included in the $40 price tag ($50 night of, if available).

Top Golf, West Chester
This popular global sports and entertainment complex recently opened a location north of town off I-75 at Union Center. Prices range from $225 to $450 for a bay which accommodates up to six people. The main attraction is driving golf balls out if the bay into the enclosed range. However, food and drink service is also available. An above par celebration to be sure.

WNKU British Invasion Bash, Southgate House, Newport
From the left side of the dial comes this New Year's bash as WNKU, the public radio station owned by Northern Kentucky University, takes over the historic Southgate House Revival. Several area bands will do the Time Warp as Just Strange Brothers perform the music of David Bowie, The Newbees channel The Beatles, The Billy Rock Band morphs into Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, and Concert:Nova brings the tunes of Elvis Costello to the stage. Proper.

Fountain Square

Short on cash heading into 2017? The party at Fountain Square downtown is free. Join thousands of your neighbors and friends in the heart of the Queen City. Enjoy cheap eats, games, ice skating (admission required), and all kinds of general merriment in advance of the big fireworks show at midnight.

Rhinegeist "NYE 2017 at The Brewery"
It's a south-of-the-border themed celebration at one of the city's best known microbreweries. In the main taproom, Gomez Salsa OTR will serve up Mexican grindgae while DJs Matt Joy and Will Ross get the crowd moving on the dancefloor. Upstairs in The Speakeasy event space, folks will be able to mellow out to the jazz and soul stylings of Jess Lamb and her band who'll be grooving from 11pm to 1am. 21 and over $20 Day Of (advance ticket sales are sold out as of press time).
