Top 10 beer experiences in Washington, D.C.

What are you looking for in the perfect bar? Are you looking to watch the game, take your dog or enjoy craft brews? I've done deep research into the top 10 beer locations in D.C. You're welcome.

1. Enjoy city views at Sauf Haus
Watch D.C. traffic from above at this quaint rooftop beer garden. This rooftop Hoffbrahaus is the perfect place to stop after a nighttime White House selfie, located a few blocks away in NW. They offer authentic German beers, or for a really good night cap, take a ski shot with friends.

2. Grab a bite to eat at Garden District
Enjoy nice D.C. weather at this brews and 'cues beer garden on 14th Street. The menu rivals the beer selection, with fried foods and amazing southern fare. Chow down at the large picnic tables outside for the perfect Saturday afternoon.

3. Take the pup to Dacha
This beer garden is dog friendly, which is my leading reason to visit. Split a Bavarian pretzel and enjoy drinking out of a boot shaped glass, all while asking other patrons if you can pet their dog.

4. Drink local at DC Brau
Take a free tour of this D.C. brewery on Saturday and learn about the process behind these award winning beers. After the tour, sample the beers in the tap room. Or, if beer-making sounds more boring than beer drinking, go on Friday night for half-priced pints.

5. Go around the world at Bier Baron
Have you ever tried a beer from Kenya? At Bier Baron, you can guzzle 500 beers from around the globe. If that's too intimidating, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and can point you in the direction of something that tastes like Bud Light but is more pretentious.

6. Catch the football game at Biergarten Haus
And by football, I mean soccer. This multi-level German biergarten is the premiere place to watch Euro-sports while feasting on pretzels and beer. The outdoor seating comes with fire pits to ward off chillier weather while you put on your alcohol blanket.

7. Every day is Oktoberfest at Wunder Garten
By now, you've figured out, D.C. loves German beer. The Wunder Garten sits in the heart of NOMA and offers an extensive beer menu. The heated pavilion is open year round and on Tuesdays, dogs are allowed. It's a good time.

8. Sip and snap down at Bluejacket
This abandoned warehouse turned microbrewery is the most instragrammable beer in D.C., possibly in your life. With a strong industrial vibe and tasty menu, your Instagram followers and stomach will love this place.

9. Catch a Nationals game at the Brig
Get a little nauty at the Brig. This nautical space projects Nationals baseball onto a 25' outdoor screen. The restaurant brings in guest chefs to mix up the braut-heavy menu and keep things interesting.

10. Eat healthy, drink cheap at Glen's Garden Market
Beers are $4, and really that should be all I write, but Glen's Garden Market boasts an extraordinary organic and healthy menu and grocer. The beer menu features different DMV beers that rotate regularly. Pick up Icelandic Yogurt or spicy tofu after having a beer or two, to achieve the perfectly balanced diet.
