These 10 Columbus, Ohio, coffee shops will keep you buzzing all day

Holy crap, does Columbus know how to do coffee. We're home to a bunch of local roasters working hard to give us the perfect bean, and a million locally-owned coffee shops that want nothing more than to keep us awake and stuff our faces with baked goods. Lord bless Columbus and its built-in caffeine IV-drips. It's hard to pick favorites, and we all know location is everything when it comes to picking a #1 in our lives, but here's a roundup of the top 10 local coffee shops in town. Go forth and quietly vibrate at your desk for the rest of the day with these top picks.

1. Yeah Me Too | 3005 Indianola Ave, Columbus, OH 43202
This place has great coffee, and that is all. They don't have food, they don't make mochas, and you can't stay there all day with your laptop. You can either get a coffee with cream, or you can get a coffee with no cream, and then you will leave with it immediately. It will be your new favorite cup of coffee, regardless. It's no frills, it's owned by a mysterious and quiet man, and it's right next to my co-working space. Cash only.

2. Crimson Cup | 4541 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214
This popular Clintonville spot is a great place to meet up with folks and maybe play board games or study. I'm partial to it thanks to its population of very cute baristas, as well as their iced mochas. They have a small outdoor space which is where I want to be basically all summer. You can also get Crimson Cup coffee served at other places, including one of my favorite spots, Spinelli's Deli, which will also sell you a Rice Crispies treat the size of your head.

3. Cup O' Joe | 2990 N High St, Columbus, OH 43202
Co'J has multiple locations, but I'm partial to the Clintonville one. It's smart to go during odd hours, though. It can get a little packed on weekends, but if you go, get the almond joy drink and their famous chocolate spoon cake. They serve Stauf's, a great micro-roaster in Columbus.

4. Fox in the Snow | 1031 N 4th St, Columbus, OH 43201
This place has an egg sandwich so good my aunt insisted we go here one time when I was home for the holidays the year it opened. She was not kidding. Go get that egg sandwich immediately after reading the rest of this list I took the time to write for you. Fox in the Snow has, A), the cutest logo, and B), fresh baked pastries every damn day. It's a gorgeous space full of plants and sunlight, but it's super popular, so be prepared to wait for a seat. Downside: No wifi. Plus side: Bring a book and/or a friend to talk at in real life? Idk, you do you.

5. Hemingways Coffee Nook | 175 S 3rd St, Columbus, OH 43215
Conveniently located right by Columbus Commons, this coffee shop is giving downtown LIFE. And caffeine. Same difference. Anyway, the coffee is great, the muffins are amazing, and it's hella cute inside. This dog-friendly spot delivers to offices via Uber Eats in case you don't want to make the trip.

6. Mission Coffee | 11 Price Ave, Columbus, OH 43201
In the Short North, Mission Coffee sometimes doubles as a performance space, with an elevated stage area in the back. The vibe there can work for you either way if you need to hunker down and finish a thing, or if you want to meet up with some folks.

7. Colin's Coffee | 3714 Riverside Dr, Columbus, OH 43221
Colin's in Upper Arlington is super laid back and there's always space for you to sit. We hear the owner is a local favorite who's always up for chatting about music and area happenings, which is nice.

8. Upper Cup Coffee | 79 Parsons Ave, Columbus, OH 43215
This great place on Parsons has breakfast and lunch options, as well as a full coffee bar menu. The story behind owner Mike, and how he got into coffee roasting, is amazing on its own. Go buy some beans to brew at home.

9. Bottoms Up Coffee Co-Op | 1069 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43222
Located in the Bottoms, this place is rad and they're doing good things for Central Ohio. Ten percent of their sales go toward reducing the infant mortality in Columbus. They've also got a workforce development element for the neighborhood too, in that they connect coworkers with community engagement opportunities in Franklinton.

10. The Roosevelt Coffeehouse | 300 E Long St, Columbus, OH 43215
Speaking of doing good works, the Roosevelt is committed to bettering the world, too. It's located downtown and when you get your morning cup there, you can know that you're also supporting efforts to fight unclean water, hunger, and human trafficking. (Plus, if you're craving Stumptown, you can find it brewed here.)

Honorable mention: Brioso | 329 E Long St, Columbus, OH 43215

A block away from Roosevelt, Brioso is super popular. We hear their maple latte is unspeakably good.
