Conquer stage fright with Denver's ultimate open mic list

Creative minds have always found a home in the city of Denver.

The Mile High City is known for its large craft beer scene, for its blossoming cannabis industry, for opening hipster coffee shops on every corner, and for providing a promising home to tech startups. All these creative industries give Denverites the perfect opportunity to sit back, relax, and enjoy some home-grown entertainment with a booming open mic culture.

The amount of support behind Denver's late-night open mics is astonishing. These classic crowd-sourced performances are popping up all over the city, every night of the week.

This onslaught of performances isn't just a recent phenomenon, though. Colorado's comedy and music scenes have pumped out some serious A-list talent over the years, including Tim Allen, Roseanne Barr, T.J. Miller, Bill Murray, Kristen Schaal, DeVotchKa, John Denver, Glenn Miller, and OneRepublic just to name a few.

If you're looking for a good laugh or, better yet, if you're ready to own the stage alongside fellow performers, this is definitely the city to visit. If nothing else, come for the surprise celebrity visits. You never know who will join the fun on any given night.

No matter when you come or where you stay, there's a local open mic for you. From the dozens of shows every week, here is the only list you need to check before your Denver adventures begin.
